BPL 2022 Starting Date
The 2021–22 BPL season, also known as BPL 8 or Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League T20 (BBPL T20)–2022 will be the eighth season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the top-level professional Twenty20 cricket league in Bangladesh, organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). The season was scheduled to start from March 2021.
However, the tournament was postponed due to Covid-19 pandemic situation and rescheduled to be held from 21 January to 20 February 2022.

The BCB (Bangladesh Cricket Board) has decided that the full tournament will be played in three stadiums due to the tight schedule of the BPL T20 matches. These are Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka and Zahur Ahmed Stadium, Chittagong and Sylhet National Stadium.

On 18th January 2022, Bangabandhu BPL will start with a joyous opening ceremony. The opening match of Chittagong Challengers vs Sylhet Thunder will be played on 20 January 2022 at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka.
The tournament will have a robin round system. Each team will play each other twice as a home and away match. So each winning team will get two points. Each team will get one point if no result or match is abandoned. But the losing team has no more points. The top four teams will qualify for the Eliminator Round (semifinals). Buy BPL Tickets 2022.
The team at the top of the points table will play the 1st qualifying match against the 2nd ranked team. The winning team will qualify to play in the final. Now the 3rd place team and the 4th place team will play the 1st eliminator match. The losing team will bid farewell to the tournament. The winning team will play the 2nd qualifying match against the losing team in the 1st qualifying match.
