Action plan adopted by Bangladesh Railway on the occasion of upcoming Holy Eid-ul-adha / 2022:

  1. This time Eid advance tickets will be given for 5 days from 23rd April Respectively,

Advance train ticket sale begins at 5 Dhaka stations

  1. Tickets for all routes will not be available at Kamalapur or the airport at that time. Different places have been divided according to the route to reduce the pressure. Cum,
    A. Tickets for all the western trains will be available at Kamalapur only. All train tickets for Khulna, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Nilphamari, Panchagarh, Lalmonirhat, Kurigram routes will be available only at Kamalapur.
    B. Tickets for all trains on Chittagong and Noakhali routes will be available at the airport only
    C. From Tejgaon only tickets for all intercity trains on Mymensingh, Jamalpurgami and Dewanganj routes will be available.
    D. Only Mohanganj-bound Mohanganj and Haor Express tickets are available from Cantonment Station.
    E. From Fulbaria (Old Railway Station) only tickets for all intercity trains to Sylhet and Kishoreganj will be available.

  2. Now when you go to buy a ticket, don’t forget to take NID copy with you. Because this time, in order to make the train journey safe and comfortable, no one will be given a ticket except the NID / Birth Certificate Info under the slogan “Whose ticket is his travel”. Also tickets are not transferable. You must travel with your ticket. If one person travels on the ticket of another, there is a system of punishment including fine And one person can buy a maximum of 4 tickets. So keep the original NID or copy with you as proof even in case of ticket purchase and travel.

  3. In addition to the counter, 50% of the tickets will be available online However, this time there is no facility to buy tickets from any app. Tickets can be bought online only from the railway e-ticket portal (https://eticket.rancil.gov.bd)
    . Tickets will go on sale at the counter from 8am to 4pm and online from 8am.
    . The off-day of all intercity trains will be withdrawn from April 25. In other words, the trains will run every day till Eid.

  4. All trains will be closed on Eid day. Since Eid is dependent on seeing the moon. Therefore, the sale of tickets on May 2, 3 and 4 will be closed. Depending on the sighting of the moon on May 1, the decision to sell tickets on that date will be made.

  5. Apart from all intercity routes, Bangladesh Railway will run Eid special / special trains on some routes. The routes are,
    A. 2 on “Chittagong-Chandpur-Chittagong” route, Chandpur Special 1/2.
    B. 1 on “Dhaka-Dewanganj-Dhaka” route, Dewanganj Special.
    C. 1, Khulna Special on “Khulna-Dhaka-Khulna” Route
    Of these trains, only “Khulna Special” will run from April 29 to the day before Eid or May 1. And the rest of Chandpur and Dewanganj Special will run from April 29 to May 1 and from May 4 to May 6.
    D. Only two special trains named ‘Solakia Special’ will run on Eid day.
    Solakia Special-1, Bhairabbazar-Kishoreganj-Bhairabbazar, by route.
    Sholakia Special-2 will run on ‘Mymensingh-Kishoreganj-Mymensingh’ route.
